    ABOUT THE CLASS

    This class is for kids who are new to tap and aims at building confidence through a balanced mix of games, creative exercises + structured skill building. Students are given a workbook at their first lesson which includes a stickerchart and a checklist of steps we will work towards. We incoporate workbooks into every class so students can begin to set themselves small goals, have a clear idea what their working towards and gain a sense of accomplishment when they tick a new skill of at the end of class. Having fun and using our imagination remains our primary focus in this class with new skills often ‘hiding’ in fun games and excercises.

At this age having fun remains our primary focus, however we begin to place more importance on learning choreography and skill learning becomes more structured.

    ABOUT THE CLASS

    This class has been created specifically with our homeschoolers in mind — giving kids a regular chance to build social connections and teamwork skills alongside the developmental benefits tap brings, like sequencing, memory building, and left-right brain coordination. As with our regular classes, this class is designed to incorporate a balanced mix of creativity, game-based learning and structured skill building. Students are given a workbook at their first lesson which includes a reward chart and a checklist of steps we will work towards, so they can set themselves small goals, have a clear idea what they're working towards, and gain a sense of accomplishment when they tick a new skill off at the end of class.

OUR AGES

  • Our 5-8 year classes focus on building confidence and a love for tap. Students learn through a balanced combination of creative movement, technical basics, and rhythm games that keep young dancers engaged and excited.

  • Our 8-12 classes focus on building a strong technical foundation through structured skill building and creative game-based learning that keeps students challenged, engaged, and growing.

  • Our 12-16 Year classes focus on refining technique and developing persona style through structured skill-building, creative challenges, and performance-focused learning that keeps students motivated.

OUR STAGES

  • Our Tempo classes lay the foundations of tap, focusing on rhythm, basic technique, and a love for dance through a balanced blend of creative game-based learning and structured technical practice.

  • Our Rhythm classes build on foundational tap skills, developing stronger technique, timing, and musicality through creative challenges and structured skill-building.

  • Our Melody classes focus on mastering technique and developing personal artistry through advanced skill-building, performance preparation, and choreographic skill-building
