ABOUT SOLE

Sole has been built on the belief that dance should be joyful, accessible, and for every kid — no matter their experience level.

We offer recreational tap classes for ages 5–16, with three stages designed to grow with your child: Sole Tempo, Sole Rhythm, and Sole Melody. From rhythm games and creative movement for our youngest dancers, through to technique and performance for our older students, every class is designed to keep kids challenged, confident, and having fun.

We're based at Cowles Stadium Recreation Room and open Term 3 2026 — enrol now and be part of something special from the very beginning.

Ella began her dance journey at age 5, training in jazz, ballet, hip hop, tap, musical theatre, and contemporary dance. Over the next ten years she trained competitively across Australia and New Zealand, completing NZAMD, Glenn Wood Tap, and IDT syllabi. She has performed in a range of professional settings including Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, halftime performances for the Crusaders, and several musical theatre productions including Cats and Beauty and the Beast.

With 5 years of teaching experience across multiple studios, Ella specialises in creative movement and tap, and is passionate about creating fun, safe classes where young dancers can build confidence and find joy in movement. Opening Sole Tap Studio is the next exciting chapter — and she can't wait to share her love of tap with Christchurch.
